Last post asked you dates and times of up and coming 2009 events one reply to date do any of you have Basc dates not on thier web site yet.
Something for you to mull over whilst you lay getting drunk over the next few weeks .I want an anthem for scurrybandits (of a musical nature) ie Your nothing but an hounddog by Elvis or How much is that doggy in the window,or Walk my dog by James Brown.
Need not have dog in title just a fun tune to go with our event.
No doubts you lot have a million more suggestions that we could play at beginning of a show or at the presentation.
May put up an appropriate prize if you come up with the best voted tune on the poll section.
UPDATED all Living Heritage and SGF dates for 2009 plus couple of others |

If any of you have dates for game fairs for next year that you wish to advertise then if you could send me as much information as possible then i will be up dateing web site this coming weekend and next week as i now have about 30 shows to put up .
It is what we originally set the site up for so you could find the shows in your area and to let people know wether the scurries where any good
Location postcode dates and if possible contact details are always useful.
Anything you lot wish to have put up say so any burning questions or debates you wish to start feel free to annoy and antagonise me

Great weekend ,thank God the sun came out best crowds this year stood watching and running,
Please be patient and all the results from this year will be posted
Need you registed uses to send me your photos or up date your profile yourself ,so we know who is who.
We are presently trying to sort out which shows we are doing in 2009 all of the Living Heritage shows one for the Shooting show possibly the Cirencester show and we have been requested to do 8 shows for another group of countryfair people so next year seems to be going to to be very busy .
The good news is that hopefully you should be able to attend a show close to home and run in scurries that are at least consistant .
Going to be busy trying to organise sponsors and all sorts of things that effect the shows so if the news page and forum seem slow email me and I will try to keep everyone upto date with things in the scurry world.
Who knows what Countryman fairs are doing next year are they only running 2 shows is the car still up for grabs is it the same forum or is it all changing different stories coming out of different camps ????
If Nick Ian Laura are reading this and you need a press realease then I promise no comment only your side of the story
I owe you a thankyou for lifting Scurrying to another level and for all people like myself giving us an oppertunity to involve the novice and junior handlers as never before .
Shows like Living Heritage now cater for Junior and novice in front of Open dogs and handlers we have more prizes for novice and junior but we do set a Multi Scurry which tests the open dogs to an high standard.
Competitors who thing they are open have tried to run with the best and their time against the likes of Helen Roly and Bill the Cobbler are some what adrift between 80 and 90 seconds for a true Bandit and some one who aspires 120 to 150 seconds for the same run.
We allow all our runners to decide at what level they want to run in but if your name goes on the leader board with an open dog you cannot compete with that dog in novice.
Off to work now see you all soon stay posted and have a good season.

Wet and disillusioned and wondering what else is coming our way?
Belvoir Castle was to be a Grand Final and everything was set to run 9 juniors and dogs 30 Open and their dogs then the weather took an hand in upsetting everything.
The show was cancelled for safety reasons and under that decision we where unable to put on the scurry in fear of an accident and we would not have been insured.
So to all of you that traveled near and far sorry but we will run this Final date yet to be fixed but provisional 28-29March 2009.
This is to be run at Cliff’s place in Salisbury no fear of being washed away and unless there is really heavy snow this Final will be run.
This will get the shooting out of the way and as far as I know clashes with no other show. If you know why this is a bad weekend let me know and we will reconsider.
All of the competitors and invites will be getting confirmation of what is happening as I find out more details.
I have a box of rosettes, prizes, trophies and all manner of things that where meant to be won this weekend we have to run this one some time just sorry that we can not do it sooner
To all the people that came to Belvoir at the weekend whether you where working running or spectating my thanks go out to all of you.
Judith and Cliff extent their thanks for your help over the weekend and hope that we will meet up in 2009 to finish what we started in March this year at Knebworth.
One more show to go that is this coming weekend at Knutsford on the Cheshire show Ground need some dummy chucker’s for the last time this year so if you want to come and help give me a call.

Please take a look at the question posed on soap box ,everybody knows what makes a good scurry now is your chance to let us know so we can think about what we do next year 2009 .
The new season starts in Febuary so we need to think about what you want and see if we need to alter anything .
Please concider this when making your suggestions Scurrybandits wish to encourage juniors and novice more than open competitors ,we will at all our events be looking to bring in new people who want to have a go and then maybe move on to the more difficult events .
We will be running the Multiscurry challenge at all shows next year for the Open competitor and at some shows be putting up cash prizes ,to be decided on later where and what these will be.
I suppose the second part of this invite to give me ideas would be to ask what constitute a junior ,novice and open in your opinion, most immotive of questions so please keep it clean if you see a reply you do not agree with

Before I get in to any more bother this is a new web site new administrator and not yet fully built as we don’t rightly know what is wanted by everyone so if when you have had a look over what we have and you see something that needs adding or subtracting then please use the contact page and enlighten me.
I have today requested a results page and with a little bit of luck this will be in place before Belvoir so that I can put up the names of the competitors who have decided that they wish to compete in the first of what I hope will be many Scurrybandit organized Living Heritage and Countryman gundog sponsored Multiscurry challenge finals .The next final in 2009 will be at Sandringham Palace on the 13th September.
If any of you out there have a problem with what we do or say please contact me. You may not agree with my answer you may not like what I print, but I will endeavor to be honest and open.
